Doreen & Frank
Mr & Mrs Faulkner
It is very rare a wedding like this comes along which makes it all the more special. Doreen at 85 years young & Frank at a sprightly 92 were both widowed and met in the doctor’s surgery, Frank instantly knew Doreen was the lady he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. The couple were married with a fantastic gathering of family & friends ant the Nan Tait, Barrow-in-Furness, It was then off to Michaelson House for a splendid wedding breakfast followed by the couple showing off their dancing skills.

Kelly & Mike
Mr & Mrs Glennie
Kelly was the most laid back bride ever as she & her beautiful bridesmaids relaxed at the couples home. Mike and the lads were ready bright and early at his childhood home which was only around the corner. The lads headed to The Ambrose for a couple before the ceremony at the Beautiful St. Mary’s Church on Duke Street, Barrow-in-Furness. It was an intermate ceremony as the couple said their I do’s surrounded by their nearest and dearest. I was then off to Cloud 9 where the couples family & friends packed out the venue waiting for the evening celebrations to begin.

Klair was treated to a very emotional morning as Bianca & the girls started their day at Chequers Hotel, Dalton-in-Furness. Two beautiful hampers with hand written from the heart cards were given to Bianca from her favourite ladies & her husband to be, there was not a dry eye to be had. The boys were very relaxed as Eddie joined them at Peters childhood home where he had spent the night before they headed to the Brown Cow for a swift nerve settler before the ceremony. It was a beautiful ceremony with tears of joy and laughter. The guests were then treated to a spectacular magic show. The party continued late into the evening as guests packed out the dancefloor.

Julian & Leanne
Mr & Mrs Crawford
What a lovely autumnal day it was as the couple said their I do’s. Leanne & the girls had a beautiful annex apartment at Crofters, Barrow-in-Furness. The evening before as a surprise the boys had arranged for a hot tub to be delivered which went down incredibly well with the girls. Julian & the boys worked quickly and efficiently at the couples family home before heading to St. Mary’s, Duke Street before the guests began to arrive. After the beautiful ceremony we made a quick stop off to the couple favourite spot Abbot’s Wood for some incredible autumnal photographs of the two of them. Julian is the lead vocals in the local rock band Route 66 who played a incredible set at Crofters ensuring all feet were on the dancefloor.

Emily & Stefan
Mr & Mrs Bartzsch
It was an eventful start to the day with a number of the couples family & friends traveling in from Millom on the worst day of flooding the area has seen in a long while. The Vicar kindly delayed the service for an extra half an hour to allow guests to catch the train & make it to the ceremony. Considering the commotion Emily was incredibly relaxed as her brilliant bridesmaids rallied around to make additional travel arrangements for guests. It was a beautiful service at St. Mary’s, Walney. Luckily there was a break in the weather which allowed us the opportunity to pop to Barrow Bark with the couple for some beautiful photographs with the couple. The reception was held at The Lisdoonie Hotel, we have never seen the venue so full as family and friends joined the couple to celebrate well into the evening.

Charlotte & Darran
Mr & Mrs Hargan
Charlotte & Darran chose Darran’s beautiful place of work The Cumbria Grand, Grange-Over-Sands, as the venue for the reception which is also where the lovely ladies began their preparations. No detail had been overlooked by Charlotte’s Mum who had not only hand made the girls matching dressing gowns but had also made customised hangers for them all too. There was a real air of excitement in the atmosphere as the couple had just found out they are expecting! Darran and the boys started the day with a swim before heading home to quickly change before guest began to arrive at Cartmel Priory for the ceremony. It was a very emotional ceremony with tears of joy & laughter. When guests arrived back at the hotel they were surprised to be greeted with the tones of the bagpipes specially arranged by Charlotte’s Mum. The evening do was rather spectacular with guests treated to not one but two of the couples favourite local bands.

Melissa & Pete
Mr & Mrs Lawson
What a beautiful day for a beautiful couple. Melisa and her lovely ladies began the day at her childhood home, where we were all made to feel like members of the family. As the saying goes the kitchen is the heart of the home & this was the hub for preparations with the sound of laughing and the smell of hairspray travelling through the walls. Pete & the lads were just down the road in the couples home, they were fully prepared for the day ahead as Mel had made sure everything was in place the day before. The couple chose the newly refurbished Dunes as the location for their ceremony & reception. There was a very welcome surprise for the couple at Pete’s parents made a special appearance for the ceremony. It was a truly beautiful afternoon, we all took advantage of the glorious sunshine in the landscaped garden. The evening event is definitely one we will remember as the boys treated guess to their version of High Hopes by the band Kodaline (I’m sure it was the first of many).

Steph & Rory
Mr & Mrs Higham
Wow where to start?
What a beautiful day the couple had, Steph & the girls began the day at the couples newly renovated cottage, there were giggles and bubbles flowing throughout the mornings shenanigans. The boys were ready at Rory’s childhood home before a swift stop off at the Railway to settle the nerves. The couple said their I do’s at the Nan Tait, Barrow-in-Furness surrounded by their nearest & dearest. It was than off to Vickers Sports Club where festivities began in earnest. It is at this point I must say a huge thank you to all at the couples do for being so incredibly welcoming especially the bridesmaids who were totally bonkers, in the best way.
