Saturday 29th July

Elaine & Mike

Mr & Mrs Smith

These two are total diamonds, we are so lucky to have the honour of meeting the most incredible and loving couples, and Elaine & Mike are no exception to this. Elaine was so chilled while preparing for the day ahead and the ladies made me feel right at home, with poor Debbie nervous enough for all of the guests (Debbie you totally rocked at being a brilliant Maid of Honour). Eddie spent time with the boys were were a little nervous before the ceremony. The couple were married at St. George’s Church, Barrow-in-Furness where the lovely vicar Jo stuck around to perform the ceremony before the families re-location to Portsmouth. It was then on to the Abbey for some photos with Elaine & Mikes beautiful daughter Jasmine. The British Legion was the setting for the evenings shenanigans where there was never an empty dance floor.

Victoria & Chris

Mr & Mrs Chappell

What a super couple, Chris was totally unaware of the arrival of Eddie for the mornings preparations although the best man was informed, Chris was a true gent and just went with the flow. I have never met a more chilled out bride and a girl after my own heart after hair and make up at the families regular salon it was back home for bacon buttie number 1 of the day! The ceremony was held at the recently renovated Dunes Hotel (formally The Fairway Hotel) were the now a little nervous couple were surrounded by their nearest and dearest. One of the couples friends had arranged for the arrival of their prized tractor to be there as an excellent prop for the couples photographs. Victoria was most looking forward to her wedding breakfast of ‘a Saturday roast dinner’. The evening do was spectacular with Victoria’s hockey girls filling the dance floor, oh yes and bacon buttie number 2 of the day!

The girls gathered together in a beautiful suite at The Daffodil Hotel & Spa, Grasmere, While James & the boys started off at the couples family home. It was an emotional ceremony with Luke (a close family friend) and Amy (Natalie’s big sis) performing as the beautiful bride made her entrance. Formal photos were taken in the beautifully decorated reception room as the typical lake District wet stuff decided to make an appearance. however all was well as a break in the weather just before evening celebrations kicked off meant we could make the most of the incredible surroundings. Katy & Scott

Mr & Mrs Duncanson

What a day!
Definitely one we will remember for some time. Katy began her special day at her childhood home surrounded by her close family and friends. Katy’s Auntie who once worked for Vivian Westwood not only designed but also made Katy’s bridal gown, it truly was a masterpiece. Scott ensured the couples little dude Toby thoroughly enjoyed his morning with car races and lots of smiles. The couple were married at the family church in Aldingham, Bardsea, where a very emotional service began. Katy & Scott made the most of the glorious weather heading down on to the beach for some beautiful intimate photos while the guests headed to the Malt Kiln, Bardsea, where family & friends had made a remarkable transformation of the venue the day before. Speeches were as emotional as the service with tears of joy & laughter throughout. Celebrations continued long into the evening.

Well after knowing Jean for quite some years now it was truly an honour when she asked if we could capture her special day. Jean began prep at Clarence House Hotel, Dalton-in-Furness the couples venue for the reception, while Philip spent his time at the couples beautiful home. It was an intimate ceremony held at the NanTait Centre, Barrow-in-Furness where the couple were surrounded by close family & friends. As the couple arrived at The Clarence house they were greeted by a surprise bag-pipe player a nod to Jeans Scottish heritage. A beautiful poem was read out by a close friend followed by the couple reminiscing over their first liaison. This was the first of two special celebrations for the couple as they were heading to Philips home town of Hereford the following week to relive the day again with Philips family who were unable to join the special couple.

WOW we had been looking forward to this wedding since Amy & Ade booked well in advance. Highlights of the day included a film & marvel comic theme, the arrival of the A-Team van and Ruby, a family built classic kit car, to name but a few. This really was an emotional day held at The Fairway Hotel Barrow-in-Furness, with a big surprise for the twins Harvey & Noah, as soon as Amy & Ade signed the marriage register the boys were officially adopted by Ade. It was revealed during the speeches when the boys received their team rugby shirts with the families surname printed on the back. Ade could not choose only one best man, he had his 4 life long pals who performed an EPIC speech all to the background of ‘Tribute’ by Tenacious D. The evening do continued in the same manor with the venue packed with the couples family & friends who were entertained by the couples friend & vocalist Dani.
